BIOPROCESS ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER
based in Pine Brook, NJ, USA

Small and rapidly expanding company that specializes in the design, manufacture and worldwide sale of innovative filtration systems used by the biopharmaceutical industry seeks an experienced bioprocess engineering professional. This candidate will have engineering responsibilities, including project management and quality assurance.

The bioprocess engineer / project manager acts as the primary company engineering and project contact for customers and is responsible for the customer's satisfaction. The bioprocess engineer / project manager consistently provides the highest level of service to customers and communicates customer needs and goals within the company to ensure quality. In addition, the bioprocess engineer / project manager is expected to know the functionality and capabilities of the company's products and their integration within a customer's facility.

Requirements/Responsibilities:

1. BS degree (chemical engineering, bioprocess engineering), with minimum 3 years of project management experience 
2. Knowledge and experience of  bioprocess requirements in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including solid understanding of cGMP requirements. 
3. Knowledge of cell culture and associated technologies is an advantage.
4. Interacts with customers and engineering firms to develop user specifications and engineering documents and to manage projects.
5. Reviews project deliverables to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.
6. Provides technical analysis and process engineering support to sales and marketing department.
7. Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, including FAT, SAT, equipment qualification, training and technical assistance.
8. Provides assistance in implementing the company’s quality system.
9. Travel required.
